This report assesses the risks posed by the American bullfrog and the fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis to amphibians in the Netherlands. For both threats, the study examines the risk of introduction and establishment, dispersal capacity, high-risk areas, and potential ecological and economic impacts. The American bullfrog is placed in the highest risk category because of its adaptability, rapid reproduction, and possible impact on native species. Its establishment should therefore be prevented, and early observations require immediate eradication. The fungus also poses a major threat to wild amphibian populations.
